A6082 Lightning strikes in “Tornado Alley” regularly took this Nebraska radio station off the air and severly damaged transmitter and HVAC equipment, until they installed a total grounding system upgrade. The results have been 24/7 reliability and no equipment damage, despite even a powerful strike that burned through a ground strap at the top of the antenna tower.
